Customized Bioclimatic Pergolas to renovate the Marina Deportiva of the Port of Alicante

With a capacity for more than 740 boats, this tourist destination offers a wide variety of options: cafeterias, restaurants, a casino, shops and nautical companies. An interesting and varied leisure offer without having to leave the port area.

Aware of its tourist potential, we have installed a total of 60 Altea model bioclimatic pergolas on all the terraces of the restaurants and cafeterias located on the Paseo del Alicante Marina.

With this installation, we have managed to expand the living space of the commercial area, managing to place the restaurants among the most exclusive in the city.

So we have created a larger and more comfortable space, in which to enjoy throughout the year.

A tailor-made project to make the most of the facilities of the Marina at any time

From the beginning, we have worked on the design and volumetry of a completely customized space, where the main objective was to improve the use of the terraces at any time of the year.

In this project, we highlight the integration of the 60 bioclimatic pergolas with a double-span design. In other words, each slat module has a central beam to be able to cover large spaces without losing functionality. With this type of structure, we managed to close the entire place, remaining visually homogeneous.

The pergolas contain a structural and visual symmetry thanks to the fact that we have used the same colorimetry in all of them. With a textured anthracite gray lacquered structure (RAL 7016) and white slats (RAL 9016), which blend perfectly with the façade. 

This installation is somewhat more complex than usual, because there are many square meters that have to be covered and there are irregular areas. That is why the asymmetries have been covered with false integrated brackets.

The Mobile slats open up to 145º, the sealing of the perimeter system of the pergola, the water evacuation system and the sliding glass enclosures make the space usable throughout the year. This material also guarantees excellent sound insulation. Likewise, the glass favors a tightness that will make the enclosure impermeable to the entry of any type of humidity.

As an addition, We have equipped all the pergolas with motorized awnings with extendable arms. This means that as the awning is folded, the arms are retracted at the same time, leaving no element outside.

These types of awnings are fully incorporated into the pergola, being able to choose the type of inclination that is desired at any time and providing a visual sensation of cleanliness as well as elegance.

In short, we are faced with a solution, quick to install, that generates profitability and promotes tourism in the Marina of Alicante Marina.
